The twenty-first century is often referred to as the ‘century of Ecclesiology’. The Eucharistic theology undoubtedly constitutes one of the most important ecclesiological trends of the past and present centuries. The principal aim of “A Nourishing meal for the church ” is to present the meal dimension of the Eucharist in an ecclesial context. Christ instituted the Eucharist in the context of a meal at the last super (MK 14:22-26), and thus the meal become the existential aspect of the Eucharistic celebration. This book primarily reflects on the meal dimension of the Eucharist from biblical, theological and contextual perspectives according to the contemporary trends of the church. This book presents inclusiveness and universality as the unique characteristics of the Eucharistic celebration.
