Description
This book makes a survey of the passages in the Gospel of John where the influence of the Jewish tradition is discernible. The study deepens the knowledge, instructs in faith and enlivens the interest in Sacred Scripture. Particularly revealing and capturing is the way it explores the prologue and the Eucharistic discourse of John in the Personified Wisdom setting of the Old Testament. The exegetical and theological analysis of John 6:35-40 leads to new levels of Johannine Christology and enables the readers to understand the Sapiential character of the Sacrament of Eucharist and Jesus as the Incarnate Wisdom of God.
