DENIS GABRIEL VEIGAS, OFM CAP
In this book, the author introduces graduality as a key for unlocking the avenues of dialogue about truth, about religions, about God. He has also brilliantly demonstrated with absolute clarity how commitment to the truth gradually leads one to true religion. This work unfolds, inter alia, the theological approach of Pope Francis in the light of St. Augustine’s vision of truth as a quest and journey. It makes us realize how the ascent to truth, like in the case of spirituality, is gradual, as attested in the Bible, with far-reaching implications for ecumenism and interreligious dialogue. All in all, the author has provided a grammar for the pursuit of a vibrant dialogical theology in Asia and across the world. Intended for the general reader, the students, as well as the academicians, this remarkable work is an important breakthrough in human striving towards perpetuating the truth-memory which the world is all too ready to explain away.
