This collected volume is the fruit of the International Conference on Living Legacy of Vatican II, organized in Calicut and Trichur, on Feb-28 to Mar-2 2014 by the Chair for Christian Studies and Research, University of Calicut and the Institute of Theology, Trichur. The volume includes also some articles that appeared in Eastern Journal of Dialogue and Culture, on the reception of Vatican II in India. This collection of essays is intended to be an investigation into the rich legacy of Vatican II. Author makes a study on the reception of Council’s social teaching in India. These insights are helpful as we face a crisis of values today which is resulted by a new socio-political and cultural context. He observes that the renewal should focus on the human person in his real life situations and the measure of renewal is Christ himself, as Scripture witnesses him.
