Description
This book explains the messages of the Hebrew Prophets of the Old Testament in sixteen chapters. They contain rich biblical theology of the Hebrew prophets with its benevolent spirituality. Each chapter has contextual reflection that will enable us to personalize the prophetic message in our life situations. It extends an open invitation to all the baptized Christians to be prophets and to play their prophetic role as witnesses – namely, to speak the truth fearlessly before the power structures in today’s divided society and to work in solidarity with the downtrodden who live in the midst of constant oppression and violence without counting the cost, especially the untold suffering which is characteristic of a true prophet of God.
It is the fruit of the author’s teaching ministry for almost two decades. Given the wide range of topics centered on the prophets, they will certainly interest different sections of readers, especially the students of biblical theology.
